To make this classic, pour the coffee liqueur into a shot glass first, then carefully layer the Irish cream and orange liqueur on top using the back of a spoon. This technique keeps the liquids from mixing so you get those beautiful distinct layers. It's best enjoyed straight, but a tiny dusting of nutmeg on top can add a lovely warmth.
